Landon Tree and Stump
Removal Services |
is a LLC (Limited Liability Partnership) with
four members in the partnership created in July of 2004 |
|
Rick and Chris Landon have lived and grown up
in the Rochester area all of their lives. |
|
Rick was transplanted from Owego, New York when IBM opened in
Rochester and his father transferred here to help open the plant. Rick
grow up in Rochester and following his father, was also employed at IBM. After 33
years with IBM he retired and is now working with his son and family
with LANDON TREE AND STUMP REMOVAL SERVICES. Rick has always worked
with chainsaws to produce his own firewood to burn during the winter
months. "This recreational cutting has now turned into a daily job which
I love! I love being outside, I love working with people and I love
working with my family! What better way to enjoy retirement?" |
|
Chris is a true native of Rochester, born and raised here. She
has worked most of her life in the medical field as a nurse at Mayo Clinic, St. Mary's and now at Olmstead Hospital. She has also had some
"time off" while raising FIVE children, living overseas for three years
and working supplemental at IBM. |
|
Aaron Landon is the youngest son of Chris and
Rick and the main climber and aerial operator for the company. Aaron has a background as a
professional painter. Aaron is new to the arborist
techniques but has been an extremely fast learner. Aaron has left the
company in 2008 to work for the GNS Fencing but has remained a partner
in the company. |
|
Scott Gamb is an experienced climber who has
agreed to work with us as a partner to provide mentoring in climbing,
rigging and arborist techniques. Scott has worked as a climber for five
years with a company in Wisconsin prior to coming to Rochester. Scott
has worked on his own occasionally keeping his skills sharp. Scott works
with us part-time helping to pass on his knowledge to us and providing
him a chance to practice his arborist skills. Scott Gamb left the
company in 2006 signing over his share of the partnership to Aaron per
the agreement that was established prior to becoming a partner. His role
was to "Kick Start" the company, to help select equipment, train
climbers and provide skill set needed to start the technical end of the
business. Having fulfilled that role we thank Scott for his valued
contribution and hard work. |
|
Since Aaron's departure in the company the focus has changed for the
company. It has become a one person company with Shawn working in the
wood lot clearing brush and selling firewood to pay for his time. We
have sold the bucket truck to Home Town Tree Service and have become a
contract service. Both contracting our services for brush hauling to
Home Town and other tree services and contracting Home Town to help us
remove trees we bid on. |
